Spring Truck Challenge takes place this weekend

The third annual Spring Truck Challenge will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Rock Creek Off-Road Park on Ferguson Valley Road near Chismville.

Several events will take place.

The first is a woods course event for Razor Side-by-Sides. The entry fee is $20. First place will win $150. Second place will win $100 and third place will win $50.

The second event is a woods course for 4x4’s, trucks, Jeeps and rock crawlers with tires of 36 inches or below. The entry fee is $20. First place wins $150, second place wins $100 and third place wins $50.

The third event is a Big Tire Hill Climb for 4x4’s, trucks, Jeeps and rock crawlers with tires of 37 inches and above. The entry fee is $20. First place wins a 12,000 pound winch and $150. Second place wins $100. Third place wins $50.

The fourth event is the Tuff Truck event. Entrants will race around a track. The entry fee is $20 with a 100 percent pay back to the winner. A random drawing will be held for two entries at a time to race three laps. The loser is eliminated and the winner continues. The final race is five laps.

Events will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and gate admission will be charged. Primitive camping is available free of charge.
