At the state event, Briar entered two field events. His first was the tennis ball throw in which he received a silver medal for his age group. The medal was presented by one of the law enforcement officers who participated in the “torch run” ceremonies. Briar’s second event of the day was the 50 meter dash in which he won another silver medal in his age group.

This medal was presented by Sloan Roberts, Miss Arkansas.
