Norris Stapleton

Norris “Goat Man” Stapleton, 78, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 in Little Rock.

He was born on June 16, 1936 in Minford, Ohio to his parents, Earl Stapleton and Nellie (Wright) Stapleton.

He was a retired phone company employee and a jack of many trades. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nellie Stapleton; wife Dorothy Stapleton; three sisters, June Stapleton Alexander, Eulah Sue Stapleton Henesy, Hazel Stapleton Levi; seven brothers, Robert Earl Stapleton, Jack Stapleton, Paul Stapleton, Samuel Stapleton, George Stapleton, Pete Stapleton and his twin, Roger Stapleton.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home-Paris. Cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date in Indiana. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com

He is survived by two daughters, Mona Sayers of Ratcliff and Donna Naegle of Little Rock; one son, Daniel E. Stapleton of Anderson, Ind.; six grandchildren, Raegen Lynn Naegle, Sara Jane Robinson, Rebecca Dawn Naegle-Sneed, Colt Norris Gene Sayers, Jade Elizabeth Stapleton and Jessica Lynn Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Eve Anya Blankenship, Samantha Lynn Williams, Daniel Britton, Braidyn Alexander Stapleton and William Floyd Thompson; one sister, Carma Stapleton Baldin of Indianapolis, Ind.; three brothers, Frank Stapleton of Las Vegas, NE, Richard Stapleton of Sciotoville, Ohio, and Joseph Stapleton of Legioneer, Ind.
