Lorene C. Komp

Lorene C. Komp, 88, of Fort Smith, passed from this life March 18, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born Nov. 10, 1925, in Subiaco to the late Henry and Ida Lux Schluterman. Lorene retired from Von Hatten Bakery, was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a member of Immaculate Conception Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Brasher and son-in-law Rick Reed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will beat 6 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rosary following at 7 p.m.

She is survived by her husband of over 64 years, Lawrence; three sons, David Komp and his wife Reiko of Fort Smith, Fred Komp and his wife Mary of Fort Smith and Michael Komp and his wife Tonya of Ozark; two daughters, Marilyn Reed of Peoria, Ariz. and Linda Butler and her husband Bruce of Huntington; her sisters, Ann Everett of Lamoni, Ia. and Dorothy Barstch of Fort Smith, her grandchildren, Christi Weir, Rachael Wilkins, Michelle Pass, Jason and Erik Reed, Nikki Burris, Mary Morgan, Joey Komp, Amanda, Maegan and Michael Robert Komp, Bryson and Brylea Butler, Jennifer McDonald and Zachery Brasher, as well as 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Reed, Joey and Michael Robert Komp, Zachery Brasher, Bryson Butler and Shandon Slate.
