Johnathan Carte

Jonathan Scott Foster Carte, 30, of Ozark passed away April 5, 2013.

He was born Feb. 18, 1983, in Fayetteville, to Johnny and Patricia Carte. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, John and Mona Carte and Jane Hill Stanley and Albert Larry Pritchard, and uncle, Thomas Albert Pritchard.

He attended Paris High School and graduated from Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus with an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was part of the Iraq War.

He is survived by his wife, Kasey Carte; sons, Logan Carte of Ozark and Shady Carte Hice of Paris; daughters, Americas Carte of Ozark and Peaches Carte Hice of Paris; brother, Larry Rives of Morrow; sisters, Tamela Taylor of Scranton and Jamie Dunaway of Searcy; nephews and nieces.

Funeral service was held Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. at Griffin, Leffett, Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St. in Little Rock. Burial was at Roselawn Memorial Park., 2801 Asher Ave. in Little Rock.

Pallbearers were Dustin Core, Garrett Core, Kurt Taylor, Nathan Puckett, Randy Carte and Thorn Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers were Cody Paul Taylor and other nephews and nieces, Jess Snowden and Andrew Powers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
