Jimmie Tygart

Jimmie Donald Tygart passed away on May 29, 2013 in Fresno, Calif. at the age of 76. He was born December 27, 1936 in Paris to the late George and Martha Tygart.

Jimmie worked for Sun Maid Raisin Company where he was a valued employee and retired after more than 30 years. He was a long term resident of Selma and it was not unusual to see him riding his scooter around town.

Preceding Jimmie in death was his parents, George and Martha Tygart, brothers Kenneth and George, sister Ruth Friesen and former wife Dolores Tygart.

A visitation for family and friends to celebrate the life of Jimmie Donald Tygart, former longtime resident of Selma, was held at Selma’s Page Funeral Chapel from 5-7 p.m., Monday, June 3. A graveside service followed at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4th at Floral Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jimmie is survived by his two sons Curtis Tygart of Lorton, Va. and Mark Tygart of North Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Magdalene Timmons of Tahlequah, Okla., Jane Hickman of Paris, and Evelyn Hendrix of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren, Autumn, Tommy, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Judah, Raelyn, Aiden and several nieces and nephews.
