Helen L. (Hill) Patterson, 89, who resided in Paris, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 in Paris. She was born March 21, 1924 in London to the late Edward E. Hill and Edna (Lay) Hill. She was also preceded in death by one son, Wayne Patterson; one sister, Harlena Legg; and two brothers, Burl Hill and Harley Hill.
She was a retired factory worker at Lady Fair Mills near Ratcliff. She was a homemaker and member of First Assembly of God in Paris since 1974.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 15th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Quinton Rowan officiating. Burial was at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by four sons, David Patterson of Paris, Robert Patterson of Paris, Kevin Patterson of Houston, Tex., and Darryl Patterson of Paris; two sisters, Dorothy Hixson of Sand Springs, Okla. and Corine Nixon of Sand Springs, Okla.; four brothers, Earl Hill of Sand Springs, Okla., Robert Hill of Paris, Ronnie Hixson of Sand Springs, Okla., and Roy Hixson of Ozark; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her life-long best friend, Betty Beck of Paris.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and nephews, Daniel Patterson, Bryan Patterson, DeWayne Patterson, Terry Hill, Mike Hixson, and Gene Hixson.
