Dr. A. H. Swain

Dr. A.H. Swain, 94 of Ringgold, Ga. passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 in Chattanooga, Tenn. He was born on May 9, 1919 in Booneville to his parents G.E. and Pearl Charline (McCaslin) Swain. He was a retired chiropractor and served in Belgium during WWII.

Dr. Swain, Chiropractic Physician, was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced in El Dorado for about 40 years and completed post graduate courses in radiology, interpretation, nutritional and blood chemistry analysis. He was proficient in Gonstead and Grostic technique. Swain served as president and vice-president of the Arkansas Chiropractic Association and served on the board of examiners for twelve years. He was voted Chiropractor of the Year in 1968.

He is preceded in death by his parents, G.E. and Pearl Swain; wife, Dorothy Louise Swain; son Barry Swain; sisters, Mary Sue Price and Dorothy Fargo; brother, G.E. Swain Jr. and half brother William Swain.

He is survived by his sister, Helen Cobler of Malvern; half sisters, Judy Gibson and Frances Potter of Tulsa; half brother, J.W. Womack of Chicago; granddaughters, Raquel Stringfellow of Sheridan, Ark. and Taylor Swain of Pontotoc, Miss.; grandsons, Andrew Swain of Snow Lake Miss. and Alexander Swain of Snow Lake, Miss. daughter in law, Ginger Swain Bright of Snow Lake, Miss. and Mickey of Ringgold, Ga.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris will burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at
