Anice Eulema O’Neal

Anice Eulema O’Neal, 83, who resided in Ratcliff, passed Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her home. She was born March 24, 1930 in Ratcliff to the late G.W. Kanady and Mabel (Gibson) Kanady. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Frasier; one grandson, Keith Frasier; one sister, Mary Ann Hawk and her brother, Dennis Kanady.

She was a retired accounting clerk and payroll specialist for El Monte School District in El Monte, Calif. She was past president of the SCEA, was an avid bowler, and member of Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Caulksville, with Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial was at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by her husband, Buzz O’Neal; one daughter, Denice Jessing of Ratcliff; one step-daughter, Robin O’Neal of Las Vegas, Nev.; one step-son, Michael O’Neal and wife Jeri of Coulterville, Calif.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were James Hawkins, David Hawkins, Haskell Casalman, Jimmy Stubblefield, Larry Kanady, Cory Van Meter, and Mike Patterson.
