A Logan County man was killed Monday after he fell into an industrial mixer at a farm west of Booneville.
Cresencio Alfaro, 55, was working on a large industrial grain mixer at a farm on Glendale Lane, just west of Booneville near the Barber community, when he fell in and was killed Monday, according to Logan County Chief Deputy David Spicer.
A farm worker found Alfaro and called 911 about 11:10 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Spicer said.
It is unclear what caused Alfaro to fall into the mixer; however, a platform on which Alfaro possibly was standing was found tipped over next to the mixer. It is possible Alfaro was leaning on it before he fell, Spicer said.
No one was with Alfaro at the time of the accident and deputies do not suspect foul play, Spicer said.
Spicer said Alfaro lived at the farm with his wife and son.
