Recent changes to school immunization requirements means many students will need to get up-to-date on their immunizations before the start of the school year.
As a result, clients who visit the Logan County Health Unit may experience longer than average wait times, and clients who call the Health Unit may have difficulties getting through.
“We know many parents are in a hurry to get their children ready for the new school year,” said Paula Beaty, Logan County Health Unit administrator said. “We truly appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to get our county’s students ready for a healthy, new school year.”
Appointments to get your child up-to-date on their shots can be made by calling the Logan County Health Unit in Paris or Booneville at 963-6126 or 1-479-675-2593
“If our phones are busy, please keep trying. We want to serve the community to the best of our ability,” Beaty added.
If you have insurance, please bring your insurance cards with you to the health unit. If you do not have insurance, the Logan County Health Unit will provide the shots to your child at no charge to you.
Immunizations are also available at primary care providers and local pharmacies.
