The pageant will be held in conjunction with the 17th annual Mount Magazine International Butterfly Festival. The pageant will be held on Friday, June 21 at 6 p.m. at the Paris Middle School auditorium, 602 North 10th Street.
A $500 scholarship is awarded in the 16 to 18 year old division. A $100 cash Community Booster Award is presented to the girl who sells the most tickets for a one night, two-person stay at the Lodge at Mount Magazine State Park.
The deadline for entry is Friday, June 7. Applications may be obtained from the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce or on-line at www.ButterflyFestival.com
Pageant winners will release live butterflies into the Butterfly Observatory Tent on Saturday, June 22, at 9 a.m. during festival events at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Highway 22, adjacent to the Paris-Subiaco Municipal Airport.
