Easter egg hunt planned in Paris

A community Easter egg hunt will take place Saturday, April 12 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Paris.

Those participating will hunt for 30,000 prize- and candy-filled eggs. There will be four separate egg hunts for four different age groups. An inflatable play area will also be put up. The Easter bunny will make an appearance and the event will also feature concessions and an area for promotional booths for vendors. A Facebook page has been set up for the event and it lists event sponsors. The page can be found at www.facebook.com/thegreathuntproject

An account has been set up at the Bank of the Ozarks in Paris under the name Great Hunt Project to accept monetary donations. Organizers are also accepting small prizes and candy to fill eggs. Organizers are also having a yard sale to raise funds at the Paris First Assembly of God Church gym Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. If anyone is interested in donating unwanted items, donations will be taken Thursday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. If you need further information, contact Misty Ullrich or Shawna Clayton at thegreathuntproject@live.com or www.facebook.com/thegreathunt
