Circus coming to town April 1

The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus is coming to Paris on Tuesday, April 1. Two performances will take place at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Logan County Fairgrounds located adjacent to the Paris-Subiaco Municipal Airport east of Paris on Highway 22.

The performances are being sponsored by the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce.

The public is invited to come to the fairgrounds between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on the day of the performances, watch the raising of the big top tent and stay for a free tour. This tour offers a unique face-to-face opportunity for families, schools, and interested community members to meet and learn all about the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus family and includes a walking tour of the circus grounds. During the tour, circus personnel will also address topics such as hygiene, grooming and the veterinary care of animals receive.

You can save money by purchasing tickets in advance. Advance tickets can be purchased at Scott’s on the Square, CV’s Family Foods and the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce. Prices for advance tickets are $6 for children ages two to 12, children under two get in free, and $10 for adults. On show day, tickets will be $13 for adults and $7 for children.
